CounterAct was founded on the idea that players from around the world could make World of Warcraft, their home away from home. Sounds emo, but it's the damn truth. A lot of players play this game because they enjoy the social aspect it provides. All of your friends are packaged all in the same guild as you and you raid/chat/party/duel with these people for hours on end. So the point is, why join a guild if you don't feel you fit in. CounterAct was started up by a few individuals who found themselves out of place in large raiding guilds. That is not to say large raiding guilds are not great; on the contrary, they offer a lot of opportunities for instances and raiding potential but when it all comes down to the wire, the interpersonal relationships that are formed are very weak. There is just no way to make friends with everyone if you have 400+ players to meet. Hence, CounterAct strives to maintain a formidable size, stressing the importance of communication, exceptional gameplay, as well as passion for the game. We raid when there are raiders availabe but by no means are a hardcore raiding guild. The guild is reaching nearly its one year anniversary and has survived many seemingly fatal blows; many people leave to join larger guilds for immediate loot satisfaction. But as we stand today, our guild is stronger than ever as we key one another, gear each other up in instances, and raid the end game content.

The active chunk of the guild has reached level 70 and we have all been pursuing end game content. The guild is composed of mostly Mid to Eastern American players, with Canadians and Austrailians composing the remaining percentages. The most popular time for gameplay is from 8 to midnight server time. The majority of players range from 18-30 in age and the guild chat reflects this range of maturity. If you're looking for a new home, our door is always open - we've just got to ensure you have the same goals as the rest of the guild. Rock on.
